Samudra Sengupta
At MAB Incorporation, Samudra plays a multifaceted role spanning sales and marketing, business development, account coordination, programme support, and stakeholder engagement. He actively supports consultancy and implementation projects focused on safe drinking water, water and wastewater treatment systems, and community-based infrastructure solutions across Eastern India and neighbouring countries. His responsibilities include client outreach, proposal and documentation support, inter-agency coordination, and translating technical solutions into commercially viable and scalable outcomes.
With a strong academic foundation in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing & HR, Samudra brings a balanced blend of technical understanding, commercial strategy, and people management capabilities. He has hands-on experience working with government departments, industry bodies, institutions, and community stakeholders, enabling him to effectively support development-oriented projects, cross-sector collaboration, and policy-linked implementation. His professional approach aligns closely with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of water security, public health, and community resilience.
In addition to his corporate role, Samudra serves as Assistant Secretary at the North Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (NBNCCI), where he contributes to trade promotion, industry engagement, and policy dialogue, working with businesses, government agencies, and development institutions to strengthen the regional industrial and economic ecosystem of North Bengal.
He is also a Member of the Indian Plumbing Association and the Himalayan Hospitality & Tourism Development Network (HHTDN), where he supports initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable and responsible tourism practices in the Himalayan and sub-Himalayan regions.
Samudra serves as General Secretary of The Catalyst, a non-governmental organisation working primarily on socio-ecological projects, focusing on CSR Projects, community development, environmental awareness, and sustainability-led interventions. He is also an active member of the Bird Watching Society (BWS), contributing to the conservation of wetland bird species, with a particular emphasis on wetland ecosystems in North Bengal.
